    I have decided to do geography at uni but i never thought about what kind of job i would like to do, i thought about petroleum and stuff but I'm not sure if its worth it.

    If you're doing geography you're probably wanting to look at the environmental impacts of using oil and gas. Have you chosen geography as an A Level or a degree? What's the context?

    All major companies will employ someone to look at their sustainability and their environmental impacts. If you were working for this industry you'd probably be creating biased information on why fossil fuels are somehow good? Because they wouldn't want their companies to look bad. I think there are more and better geography opportunities elsewhere, especially since there are speculations that we will run out of fossil fuels fairly soon.

    Sorry I've just re-read your post. If you've chosen to do geography and you want to go into a field such as this, maybe you could look at Environmental Science instead? It seems a lot more focused to what you would like to do.

    Yes, if looking at the environmental impact is what you're interested in. There are a lot of jobs in this area as all companies need them
