I personally hate it so much. Nowadays it is just a bunch of people with too much time on their hands who have nothing to contribute to society. They just argue with each other everyday and it is not going anywhere. I'd rather they worked and contributed something we can all benefit from.

I see your point, however I think it can still be an interesting example and exercise of freedom of speech. It gives people, who may not have had one otherwise, a platform. But I appreciate your frustration with what is currently been discussed. Have you heard any interesting debates in the past?

I have seen videos on youtube of the religious debates and it is just grown men shouting at each other so I don't even understand what they're saying. I am all for freedom of speech but them exercising this freedom means I can criticise it, and I just think I would rather have them actually working instead of arguing over who's god is better? It is a really unpleasant part of Hyde Park to walk through and prevents people and communities from integrating imo, because they're too busy always arguing. I miss the days in London where people had street parties and spoke to their neighbours...

I agree. There are some who could focus their energy into a more positive outlet. But nonetheless it's still quite a unique set up which can generate some interesting debate.
