Hi, if I manage to get into accounting. I was wondering including all the years of university and training etc, how long before I reach the top ranks.

If possible can anyone provide me with all the ranks, the pay you get for being in that rank and the number of years to reach to that spot.

    Thanks,

Well top rank is partner, salary is like 200k - 1mill possibly more/less, depending where you work. It will take a good amount of years before you can even dream of these positions :p:... im not too sure about time scale, perhaps 10 -15 years in the firm?

In a big accounting firm, even 10-15 years is being very ambitious! Remember there'll also be hundreds (if not thousands) competing for very few partner positions so you will need to be outstanding. But, as said if you do shine you can be earning big basic salaries plus even bigger bonuses.

Or, if you so choose set up your own firm
