I'm out of my supply of propranolol that I was prescribed ages ago, and my GP said she's not keen on prescribing me with another supply. I use it very rarely and save it for occasions that I feel I need it (e.g. interviews, speeches and exams). Basically, if I go to her, she'll recommend that I go through some counselling to sort out my nerves, except I don't want to.

Well, is there any other way I can get my medicine without creating havoc with my GP?

I don't think you'll be able to get it without a prescription, so just call your GP surgery and ask to be seen by another GP

Propranolol is prescription only because it can be very dangerous (I had 160mg tablets and started hallucinating). If you really would like more, id suggest a different GP. But getting counselling sounds like a better, safer and more long term idea - you should definitely consider it
