"Nicole Richie - 'I always look for circumcision in a guy'
- Foreskin thoughts to the fore for Simple Life star

Nicole Richie will only date circumcised men.

The Simple Life star insists it is very important to her that any potential boyfriend has undergone the private procedure - which involves the foreskin being surgically removed the penis.

She said: "The one thing I always look for in a guy is for them to be circumcised."

Nicole, who is believed to be expecting a baby with Good Charlotte frontman Joel Madden, also revealed that marriage and children are something she has
always wanted.

The 25-year-old star - whose adopted parents, singer Lionel Richie and Brenda, had an acrimonious divorce - said: "The world isn't perfect, but I'm optimistic about family and marriage."

Rumours about Nicole's pregnancy have been circulating for months, while it has also been reported that she and Joel are planning to marry this summer.

However, Nicole's representative is still refusing to comment on the matter, only saying: "We have nothing to report."
How is the prospect of Nicole Richie gonna make him feel any better??

Nicole is just one person, eitherway, its not about what women find attractive, I know it sounds selfish but im thinking of what I want.

I've never had any problems with 'satisfying' myself

- perhaps I actively seek out more foreplay but thats it.

I've never receieved any stigma for it, nor felt it unnatural. Tbh i view it as someting I have over somebody else...

Yea but an intact guy can always get circumcised, you can't get your foreskin back (if you wanted it). Im not being funny im just looking at it from the op's point of view, I think circumcisions are cool but be thankful that you are happy with it as the op is not.

Having it done since I was 3 I haven't known any better, and am satisfied with being circumcised - i get enough gratificiation/satisification without having to worry about smegma.

Also circumcised men are less likely to contract STIs- esp HIV altho im not sure about passing it on - i guess you cant pass it on if you don't get it to begin with.

Its strange, I have never given any thought to being circumisced as a 'weakness' or something to be sensitive about. Had no complaints either...

Ive never understood how circumcised guys are at less risk of std's as you would think not having a foreskin with expose you more to the infections.

I dont know why you would care, a circumsied penis and an uncircumsized penis look the same when they are stood up so who cares.

Apparently the foreskin cells are more susceptible to infection.

Incorrect.

I'm not pretending to be an expert - its just what i read. They found a 50% reduction of HIV contraction in circumscised men in S Africa.

some old BBC News story, altho 'incorrect' doesnt constitute such a great counter arguement.

lol after reading all the research im exactly the same but not with circumcision, im jelous of people who were breastfed who are now healthier as a result.

Anyway everyone is different with circumcision, it suits some guys but doesn't suit others.

Correct.
Hmm.

In order to answer you properly it's kind of important we know why you have this problem. What is it that you're jealous of? Circumcision may not be "natural", but it's not as if you've particularly lost much.

TBH i'm happy that i'm circumcised. I don't want to go into details, but i remember what it was like being uncircumcised and it was much worse than being circumcised, i wont go into details, but take my word for it.

Im mainly jelous that they are in a way 'complete' and I heard the foreskin is very sensitive so im probably missing out on lots of pleasure etc.

No, the foreskin's not sensitive at all, it's just a lump of skin. The foreskin's mainly there to protect the glans, which is the sensitive bit. Uncircumcised people aren't "complete" at all. Would you say this if you had your appendix removed? Plenty of people are circumcised, and it makes no difference whatsoever. Some girls will find it weird at first through lack of experience, but some would find uncircumcised penises weird through lack of experience. Trust me, you're not gonna miss out on anything any way you look at it.

You're kidding, right?

Sensitivity. The foreskin is a highly nerve-laden structure, containing approximately 10,000 nerve endings. It is this structure that gives the man his most pleasurable sensations. It also helps to retain glans sensitivity. Circumcision removed this structure and over time sensitivity decreases, making it more difficult to achieve satisfactory stimulation.

That article is talking about the sensitivity of the glans, though. Not the foreskin. :s-smilie: Though as for the first couple of sentences - pff, I had no idea, and am still inclined to disbelieve it. Where's that quote from?

Edit: hold on, on reading it again, it still doesn't say the foreskin is sensitive, at least not in any way like the glans. It says it contains a lot of nerve endings, but that could just as easily mean it responds badly to pain. And it says it gives a man his most pleasurable sensations - as far as I'm aware, that's through friction on the glans, not because the foreskin itself is sensitive.
