went to the clinic today to have a check up, and knew it was going to be uncomfortable, but it actually hurt like hell!! was just curious to see if anyone else found it painful?! the nurse inserted this massive plastic tube into my vagina and scraped the inside numerous times with swabs- wasn't pleasant! she also inserted a long thin tube into my urethra (where u pee) which was awful... and since then, i've bled a little when i've gone to the loo?!! oh woe is me

Rather that than walking around unsure whether I have an STI or not.
but when you get the all clear, it'll be worth it!

as a bloke i can only imagen , you went through cant be nice , but the end result will help you sleep better at night! fingers crossed you're in the clear!!

When I went it was painful but I jus gritted my teeth through it. However I didnt bleed though.
Good on you for going though because its not easy but im sure the results will be all clear n put your mind at ease.

Mine was agony, I bled during and I was bleeding for a few hours after.
Some people have told me that theirs didn't hurt - then they revealed that nothing went up their urethra!! I also had the bitch choose the biggest speculum they had.

the urethra one is the most painful thing in the world. I had tears in my eyes and really had to grit my teeth to stop myself screaming. Couldnt walk properly for a bit as it hurt so much. No bleeding but i've heard of lots of girls who have done. nothing to worry bout, just can only send my sympathies as it makes me wince just thinking about it!
Die you have to sit on one of the beds and put your legs in the sirips (spelling)? When I go to Doctors I lie on my bed but make my legs into a diamond shape - hard to describe. However that does not hurt but when you go hosiptal/gum clinic then they always do it the hard way.
You must of been tense. they used to use metal insertors not the plastic ones - they hurt more. You are fine, its just a natural reaction. Should be ok. However in a few days if has not stopped then go to Doctor.
