I have an honours degree and want to teach in a primary school, but I don't have enough GCSEs. I need English, science and one other, I think, but they're all iGCSEs. Does anyone know if iGCSEs are acceptable to UCAS for applying for their salaried teacher training scheme?

    Hi,

I've moved your thread to a place where it's more likely to get responses. Good luck with your application.

    Hi,

Sorry about bumping an old thread but have similar line of question.
Need IGCSE in english and would like to know which is more suitable for UCAS teacher training:

    Edexcel Eng language A or
    Edexcel Eng language B?

    Or would i need both?

    Thanks.

They are both of equal value; they are just slightly different syllabuses/specifications, with schools picking the one they prefer. Choose whichever you like, or check with the universities you are dealing with.
