    Basically, simple stuff

What Voluntary work have you done?

How long have you done it for?

Is it benefitting you in any way?

What is your future career planned to you?

I have been volunteering at a RSPCA Animal Center since June last year. I believe it is benefitting me as my dream job is be a Animal Care Assistant or a Veterinary Nurse

I'm volunteering at St Wilfrid's hospice.

This coming week I'll have finished training and other formalities, however I have already done shifts whilst shadowing in different areas.

It's shown me that despite medical advances, even the best efforts can't cure everything, or even do much to suppress a patient's symptons in some cases. It has also highlighted that there comes a point where death is inevitable, which is a whole different perspective from that of a "hospital" doctor's which is to save and improve as many lives as possible, avoiding death. Death is no longer as sensitive a subject to me, and I have seen and started to help with areas such as rehabilitative palliative care.

I want to have a career in medicine, specialising in something though I haven't decided yet.

Currently volunteering at my local library, I work with children on their summer reading challenge.

I've done it for several weeks now, still have a few weeks left.

It's helping me gain experience in working with children and it has helped build my confidence by talking to many people.

I'm planning on becoming a primary school teacher.
