Hi guys, hope you're all having a good summer!

I'm aware A level results day is approaching and I've got some questions regarding retaking. I currently study A level Biology, Psychology and English language and then a BTEC in music technology. I had a lot of time off due to illness so I missed out on a lot of work. If by miracle I do pass my subjects, will I be able to retake anyway with 4 new subjects? I'm not really happy with my current subjects and I want to change and be able to get it right. I feel like my illness came about because it took me so long to settle into sixth form so therefore I missed out on that first chunk. I feel if I retake I'd be more motivated to work hard from day 1 as I know where I went wrong!

Any response will be highly appreciated!

Good luck for results day & enjoy the rest of your summer

I got B and C grades throughout my first year, which I was extremely ill during. I was still allowed to retake the year after providing evidence that I could improve upon these grades.

I *think* it's at the discretion of your sixth form, but you could probably put up a good argument as to why they should let you.

It will be entirely up to your school and its policy on this. Whatever happens to other people on TSR will have no bearing on what will happen to you. You can only get an answer to this from the school.
