Yeah, my family isn't well-off, but my mum always provides the basics like food and schoolbooks, but if I want DVDs or anything along that line, she just tells me to pay for it myself. It's fair enough.(Original post by zombie)
Yeah, it's not like I think everyone should be a workaholic but for me, well, it was never really that much of a choice. Either I couldn't afford to do anything/buy anything or I worked for my cash.

Hmmm... that's kinda worrying that some of you think that 18 is a bit late... I'm doomed then if that's true! lol I've been doing voluntary and charity work mainly in my spare time for the past couple of years, more so this year, because no more school! (WHOO) but obviously come Sept, I may decide I wanna find a part time job or something just for the hell of it. lol. Okay... I have like no knowledge in this area, so those of you with p/t jobs are gonna have to fill me in...
Hours. What they they like? Is it flexible? Can you get time-off when you need to?
Pay? Do u get perks?
and more specificly, clothes-shop type jobs? Is it true how you look get taken into account? (cos thats what ive heard)
Waitressing type jobs...can you get one with no experience?

yeh btw you can do waitressing with no experience.. its easy as long as u smile and are like mighty n=man.. u sure build up some musles though!
