# CIE IGCSE Physics-Summer of 2016. Watch

1. For anyone who did CIE IGCSE Physics, how did you all do?!?!? If you wouldn't mind, could you give me a rough idea as to how many UMS was required for an A*? Hope you all got what you wanted
2. UMS remains constant each year @ 90/100 for an A*. However, this year, the final weighted mark for an A* was 156/200 for 21 + 41 + 61.
3. I did the Extended Theory, the Extended Multiple Choice, and the Alternative to Practical. How many UMS was required for an A* for this variant of tests? Thanks for responding! It is much appreciated
4. UMS is set each year @ 90. Cambridge will put it on your results sheet in a percentage UMS. 90 = A*, 80 = A, 70 = B, etc. If you look on the grade threshold table, you will see that below the individual components, it says: "
Grade A* does not exist at the level of an individual component. The maximum total mark for this syllabus, after weighting has been applied, is 200. "

This year, for physics, it was 156/200. Hope this helps.

Thank you for your help!! If you wouldn't mind, could you tell me what mark I would get with these marks? If I got:
31/40 in multiple choice extended
68/80 in theory extended
36/40 in alternative to practical

This is roughly what I think I got! Would you mind telling me if I would get an A* with these marks and what UMS I would get??

Thank you so much!!!

Cambridge never published a way to work out your UMS, unfortunately. However, one way in which you could work it out (not very accurately), would be to compare the percentage of 156/200 with your percentage out of 160 and see how they compare. Please bear in mind this doesn't take weighting into account. Take these calculations with a pinch of salt as I don't personally know how they work it out.
7. Oh okay thank you! Are you sure that people needed 156/200 UMS for the Summer of 2016. I swear they haven't published grade boundaries yet?

Thank you so much!!
9. Sorry, but I can't seem to find it! Are you sure anyway that for the Summer of 2016 for the 3 papers that I SAT, that 156/200 was the UMS required for an A*? Sorry if I am bothering YOU, I am just really worried! Thanks again!

Hi there again! I am so sorry for annoying you but for some reason the link you gave me keeps ring deleted! Would you mind sending the link to this years IGCSE papers to me AGAIN. I am so sorry!! I can be a real idiot...

I can't remember what the website is exactly. It's fine btw, hopefully this puts your mind at rest.
