Hi. I'm hoping to go to university next Septmer to study for a degree. This will be my first time studying at degree leve. I am 35 with 2 primary school age children with household income of 40k.
According to the student finance calculator I will be entitled to the student loan to cover course fee's, a maintenance loan of £6434, and a parental learning grant of £1573. Does this sound right? I'm really nervous about basing the next 4-6 years of my life in an estimate. I don't want to get to this time next year and find out it was wrong and can't afford to go to uni.

    Many thanks.

    Hi,

This will be a correct estimate if you used the student finance calculator and put in the relevant information. We cannot guarantee this is what you will receive as this is only an estimate and we would need to do an assessment on your application to determine your actual entitlement. Thanks
