I think it makes both men and women self conscious. I'd say in some aspects it is sometimes more the men than the women especially in relation to the size of their penis and musculature etc. Young men need to know that a penis, when erect, isn't 7.5 or 10 inches long in fact on average it's about 5.5 inches.
The key to solving this is a new sex education system in the UK that promotes consent and safe sexual practices for ALL sexualities. Not just the basic rubbish of "this bit goes in this bit and then boom a baby pops out 9 months later". It's embarrasing because other countries have such better education when it omes to these issues. We're the teenage pregnancy capital of Europe for god's sake! I do however think that young people turn to porn as a form of sex education which is worrisome for young adults like me. I think the government need to address the sex education system NOW and speak to ISP's about getting pornography blocked as standard and "opt-out" rather than "opt-in" system.
