Student loan query

Hi,

I currently have an approved loan for my Economics course which is 4 years with a placement year.

However, this is for my firm choice university which I don't think I will be going to and I have decided I would rather not go to my insurance too, so it looks like clearing it is.

I have found a course I think I would like to apply for in clearing which is a lot more realistic, and one which I feel I have a strong chance of getting into. The problem, however, is that it has a foundation year, taking my total time to 5 years. I'm now concerned as to whether my student loan will cover 5 years, as it only currently covers 4. I will ring tomorrow as they are shut right now, but wondered if anyone had any suggestions in the meantime?
