    When going to a festival where do you put your sleeping bag? do you put it in your big rucksack or do you carry it in your hand?

    Tie it onto your rucksack so you don't have to hold it.

    If it looks like it will be raining when you will be walking to find a place to pitch your tent, then I would put it in your rucksack- there would be nothing worse than having to sleep in a wet sleeping bag! :mad:

    I generally put it in the back of my van these days - but in the days of public transport to festivals I always went very light and had everything bar my tent IN my bag. When queuing in big crowds (often by makeshift, flimsy fencing) its easy to get 'attachments' to the outside of the bag caught on things and in big moving crowds that can become a pain/mean you loose stuff.

    I would suggest you go as light as you can and try and keep everything in one large rucksack. What festival are you going to?
