Help with Laryngitis

Basically, have a mild case - in the mornings, I wake up, my throat is as sore as hell, presumeably because I tend to be a mouth-breather when ill and that makes my mouth very dry unless I intentionally lubricate = sore throat when waking up. My throat tends to kill me at night as well, just because of the whole "always feel worse at night" thing.

I also have a bit of a cough, but nothing I can't handle. Also very hoarse voice, which I'm resting at the moment, as much as I can.

A party tomorrow, one I really want to go to. What will make me feel a bit better in the timeframe of today/midday tomorrow? Any suggestions at all.

Last time i had laryngitis was up a mountain in the French Alps : / I suggest going to the doctors and they will give you some stuff . Failing that get some spray stuff to go to the back of your throat before you go to sleep everynight. You can get this menthol spray stuff that numbs your throat so u cant feel the pain and can talk somewhat normally. Get some lozenges also.

I have laryngitis at the moment. Went to the doctors yesterday. Basically told me not to speak for a few days and it will clear itself up. They don't give you anything unless it's severe which yours doesn't sound. Just drink plenty water and take paracetemol not ibruprofen if you're drinking.
