    Hi there,
Last year (2015/2016) I was a university student and was receiving funding from SFE, however after semester 1 I decided to stop my studies and stop my funding from SFE because I got diagnosed with Relapsing Remitting Multiple Sclerosis, which is an autoimmune disease.
My question is does that year count in terms of funding, have I already completed a year of funding?

My second is would SFE finance both:
    1. A certificate in higher education which would only a 1 year long, at £6000.
Reason I would like get this qualification is during 2016/2017 I am going to be trying to get better and I really don't want to idle at home. Maybe it could be funded on compassionate grounds.
    2. An honours degree which would be 3 years long.
So in total that would be 4 years of funding, for 2 different qualifications.

    Hi,

If you suspended during the 1st semester this would count as a full year of funding. Are you asking if you would get the funding for 1 year certificate of higher education starting 16/17 academic year and then go on and do the 3 years honors degree starting 17/18 academic year? Thanks

Why does it count as a full year?, my illness was out of my control.
Yes that is exactly what i'm asking. Thanks.
