Im wanting to go to Uni and do something like economics or maths!

I wanted to do Maths, German, Economics and English lit but my school wont let me do them due to option blocks and told me to do Business Studies not Economics.. I dont really want to do this as i feel like doing business studies wouldnt be as good as doing economics!
Ive been thinking i could do further maths (if i get an A*), maths, german and economics as this should be able to work.. or i thought about just doing 3 alevels of maths, german and economics..

What do you think i should do? Thanks

FM, Maths, German and Econ sound like really good combinations for either Maths or Economics, so I would say go for it. Also, English Lit at A-level is quite different to GCSE (considerably more difficult) so only do it if you're really keen to or really need it.

Taking a maths course will be quite hard in year one without Further Maths, I think. If you can do FM then I'd try and take it (in my opinion, the material isn't really much harder than single maths, it's just that obviously you have another 6 modules worth of maths to cover).

Have you double checked with your school that there's nothing thet can do to accommodate the subjects you want?
