For the first one you could look at how Romeo is a poser who doesn't really treat women with much regard and by the end he's willing to die for his love. On meeting Juliet for the first time he tries the chat up lines of verse that have always worked and she basically responds in equal measure, forcing him to up his game and pay attention.*
