I want to resit my A2 maths exam with the edexcel exam board but am struggling to find an exam centre near my area (Worcetser), also is it normal that the exam centres I did find charge around £75 per unit resit whereas edexcel advertises that it costs I think £16.50? Should I expect this to be quite expensive even without any lessons or tutoring?

Fairly typical cost for private candidates, I am afraid . You may find a school/college that will do it for less, especially if you are an old pupil, but that is an average price if not

The cheapest place is likely to be where you took your A levels if they will have you back. If they won't then you just have to find the cheapest, most reliable place you can. It's entirely reasonable that they add a charge on top of Edexcel's - after all they have to do the admin of the entry, the seating and invigilation and provide the venue, but some of them do charge a prohibitive amount.
