The offer for the course i applied for is now lower on the university clearing website, does this mean that if i achieve the grades asked for on the clearing site i will be accepted? or will i be rejected and just call the hotline to get a place with the new lower offer?

I personally have never experienced this but using my common sense I would say that if you don't get the grades required but meet their specified requirements on the website to then contact them and see about getting on the course.

Usually a university will accept lower grades from their firm applicants than they will ask for in clearing.
