I did not as well as expected in my A levels (BBC, predicted A*AA). I'm planning on taking a gap year and resitting, however I'm not sure how to go about this due to the A level reforms. Would I still be able to take the exams from the syllabus that I did. I also need to know how to sit these exams - at sixth form or as a private candidate.

I'm worrying about the same thing at the moment. We should keep in touch.

You will have one chance to resit legacy A levels in 2017.

You should contact your school and see whether they will let you resit whilst still at 6th form or whether they require you to do it bia college or a private candidate.

The advantage of doing it at school is they may give you continuing teacher support amd its a fmailiar environment.

Talk to your teachers and see whats on offer.

Thanks. And by the way, do you know if I can only take the exams I want to or whether I would have to retake the whole A level including coursework.

I believe you can choose the modules you want. but confirm that with either your exam officer or teacher or the exam board.
