I genuinely find extreme thinness shocking but unless they have an obvious problem then commenting aloud on it is quite rude and bitchy. I certainly don't aspire to be emaciated but there are days when I wish I was toned and petite which is not the same thing as looking malnourished at all.

Thats what I mean, thin toned and petite (kinda like marathon runners) not like pure bone.
Yeah, jealousy.

Its just most average sized or girls with a bit of weight who I have hung around with tend to comment on slim girls with comments like 'god shes a stick insect' or 'she must eat nothing but chewing gum'. Ive always wondered if deep down they are jelous and want to be just like them or if they genuinly think what they say.

They probably mean it because there's nothing to be jealous of. They're entitled to their own opinions.

I don't like the look of girls who are stick thin with no good reason, if they're petite then obviously it looks right but I find I get annoyed by people who force themselves to be stick thin and look horrible. I never want to be smaller than a size 10-12. I'm not jealous.

In most cases that's absolute *******s in my opinion.

You read, hear, and witness girls slagging other girls off because they have a better body. nothing to be jealous of? why else would you slag them off? a bit of self-esteem? it doesn't make sense.

But again this boils down to the whole 'stick-thin' thing, i also hear many girls saying this about women who are a fit, lead a healthy lifestyle and keep in shape.

Being athletic doesn't make someone look malnourished unless they actually are.

how do you know if someone is 'forcing themselves to be stick thin' by looking at them?

So you're bascially saying being malnourished is having a better body.

It's this kind of attitude that caused some so called friends to give me dirty looks when I would eat a sandwitch for lunch while they eat nothing.

In reality when do you actually ever see stick thin girls? Maybe the odd celebrity or 2 who has gone over the top with dieting or has anorexia.
Most thin girls are healthy.

It's unusual for someone to be naturally stick thin. It's natural for most woman to gain weight.
If a girl is noticably/shockingly thin, people might comment on them being anorexic because anorexia is so common these days. Some of them could be jealous, but then if the girl being bitched about is normal slim sized (and not anorexic-looking) then the overweight girls might be feeling a bit insecure, or just have a different standard of what is a "normal" weight.

Not from my experience. They hardly ate anything and would joke about people making them eat lunch and expect me to laugh.
I think it can be. But people are different. Some really do like the bigger look, you can say either way for everyone.

It isn't so unusual you're going to be able to know whether or not it's genetic by looking at them.

Pardon? you like imagining things?

re a fit, lead a healthy lifestyle and keep in shape.

= this leads to a better body than others.

nothing to do with 'malnourishment'

Exactly.

Eubacterium. why is it 'unusual'? i lived with two girls last year, both who were 5'11, and 'stick thin'.

I'm not fat and even I am jealous.

Its natural for most people to be slim, in nature we should be exersising everyday and eating is for survival not leisure.
