Ok so off i went to buy some waxing strips. I chose Veet wax for sensitive skin. Let the hair on my legs grow horribly monkeyish, followed the instructions word for word, and i still cant get the damn things to work! They are just not pulling out any hair at all. Is there anyone out there whos had this problem? I know i must me doing something wrong
I've used these once but didn't find them to be that good. Did you try rubbing the strip on top of your leg for a while so that the wax heats up? Make sure you pull the strip up parallel to your leg and not away from it, and pull the skin taught.
Veet products do not work at all. Send them an email complaining and they'll refund you the money. Last year there was a whole thread about Veet, and a bunch of complained. Buy something else or go get it done at a salon.
ah thanks.. Ive never tried veet before so i didnt know how rubbish they are. Does anyone know of any good brands that do home waxing that actually work?
the ready to use wax strips don't work to well imo because the wax will never heat up enough to actually do anything. go for the wax pots that you can stick in the microwave. Much better results.

just the saturday gone someone asked for their money back at boots because they did not work at all... try nair if u want to still use wax. they're supposed to be quite good!
I also bought Veet hair removal cream, and its complete rubbish! garbage! did not work a bit. Tryed waxing - nope still hairy.. tryed cream - nope still there. then thought oh sod it and reached for my razor and got rid of the damn hair straight away. grr i hate veet.
Veet wax strips for short hair are good, always work well for me. Veet wax strips for sensitive skin however are ****! You may aswell smear your legs in butter and let a wild animal lick it off, im sure it'd be just as effective.
I have 3 words. Nair Easy Wax. There's one with a heat-up roller that u stick in the microwave and it's not messy. And it actually works
Sounds good The Nair purple pot of hot wax that you heat in the microwave, however, I've heard very bad reviews of - apparently it takes a lot of patience and practice to get the right consistency and temperature, and one review that I read said that by the time she'd done one bit of her leg, the wax had solidified and had to go back in the microwave, so that in the end it took more time than it was worth. In salons they always have the hot wax over a low heat so that it won't solidify, which isn't something you have the luxury of in your own home (unless you're going to try heating it on the hob, which I'm not sure I'd recommend...).
