Unfortunately i missed the grades for my first choice of Physics at Manchester Uni, and got accepted at my insurance choice of Masters Physics at Southampton Uni. However i phoned Manchester and they said they would definitely accept me on the physics foundation year if i went through clearing.
I really loved Manchester and the department but i'm not sure if im willing to sit through a whole foundation year when i could just go to southampton.
Everyone is telling me to just go to southampton, what do i do?
I have my insurance but do i take a foundation year at my first choice, Help! Watch

What do you want to do? There's one thing asking for advice; but it's up to you and not everyone else.

Accept Southampton. There isn't a huge difference between the two universities and southampton has lots of opportunities to get involved in research. I've just graduated and had the opportunity to work at Manchester and Cambridge university and also did my masters year at Harvard.
