dude...hawthorns is the place to be
see you in october
nice duck btw
Well, from what i gathered last year, the hawthorns is a bit rough around the edges (like northwell), but it is in the centre of the uni precinct and near to park street with all its bars and clubs, so its in a very good position. Its also quite near to the union (where most of the orbital parties are, which you will be a member of being out of halls) so you don't have to worry about long walks in fancy dress or lots of taxi rides.

The reason i ruled it out last year was because you've got a very high probability of having to share a room with someone, which, may be good, or it could be very bad, it depends what your personal preferences are. Its good if you're into sharing/swapping or being shared/swapped.

my brother stayed in hawthorns last year and he said that there wasn't a single shared room in the building.

They're really pushing it now with the time limit... I haven't got anything yet... is there anyone else who applied for Hawthorns (first choice), just finished A levels this year, and had Bristol as a firm... who has received an offer from Hawthorns? If so, when and was it by email or letter? I'm really beginning to think they have forgotten me!! x
Woahhhh, can someone clarify here - are many of the rooms at the Hawthorns shared? I did plan on applying there, but I didn't think...

this year i think there's only 1 room out of over 100 that's shared, don't worry!

Just go stay at stoke bishop! Your in with all the other students and too far away form the uni that you never bother to go to lectures! Excellent!

What about Richmond terrace, guys? I'm thinking of applying there for en-suite. Is it good? how far is it?
