Hi, I've created a personal statement for medicine. Unfortunately I didn't obtain the grades to apply for medicine. I planning on applying for a science degree, prefrebly chemistry or biology. Is it okay to use the previous personal statement, I don't have work experience specifically in chemistry and biology. however I have don a diploma in anatomy and work experience in hospitals.

Hi I was planning on applying to medicine but a few months ago decided to also go for science or engineering degree something chemistry related. I don't think you can use the same ps as medicine personal statements are usually specific to medicine. Also I've found you don't really need work experience for chem or bio but what is good is to read books . If you are going for chem I recommend the periodic tales which I'm currently reading its really kl but idk search around. Good luck I applying

If you use a medicine PS with a heavy emphasis on work experience to apply for a chem or bio academic degree they're going to think you're either confused or not really interested in studying those subjects.

I'd recommend starting again from scratch - then when you get to a final draft see if there's anything particularly great from the old PS worth bring into the new one.

Yes you can use your own personal statement again. Just make sure you tailor it for the subject you are applying for. Not just reword the medicine one
