I've been declined for my computer science course at Reading (as my firm offer) but was luckily rescued by my insurance choice of Essex. I've looked at both departments and I reckon they're both averagelly equal from an employers point of view.

My only query was the course itself. Has anyone done computer science at Essex and could recommend it? Is it worse or better than computer science elsewhere? I may just be scared by missing my firm but is computing at Essex as good as the next university? Thanks

Did you visit Essex university on an open day? What was your gut feeling? Go with your gut instinct. There is no harm in waiting a year, improving your grades and biding your time as a plan C.

    Good luck!

I wrote this in a bit of a panic, honestly I took some time to think about it, and I really do like the course, the university and job prospects of it are good, from the people I've talked to and people in work.

I'm really looking forward to i. Thanks for the advice though, pal

I got accepted to a couple other places, but I reckon I'll stick Essex. I took time to think about it and I reckon I'll really enjoy it. Thanks though, friend
