    Judging a single item's 'fashionablity' is pointless most items can be perceived as fashionable when put alongside a compatible combination of other items.

    For example, the answer to "does this pair of trainers look cool" will depend PURELY upon the environment and more importantly the remainder of the outfit.

    Personally I would argue that judging items based on one picture or perception alone is ridiculous and purely defeats many a fashion philosophy of individuality and creativity.

    Any other thoughts?

    Yeah of course, it's all about context. I do tend to buy single items just cos I like them though, and think about what to wear with after.
