Just got my AS results, 4 As in Maths, Physics, Economics and Geography. Physics and Economics are both new, revised A Levels where you get tested on AS content as well as A2 stuff. I want to do Physics at University, hence my interest in taking Further Maths as an AS in Year 13. Will the workload be too much especially with the new A-Levels im doing?

How long is a piece of string? The answer varies depending on the individual and I would advise you to do some introspection, see how you coped with this year's workload and chat to your teachers who will have some idea of your ability.

It will be well worth it. Your Maths will be miles ahead of the people at Uni who did not take it, and it's worth it just for that alone. Will compliment your Physics perfectly if you did a Mechanics module as part of it. Challenging, but rewarding.

I found Economics quite interesting. As long as you have good teachers the essays are managable. The most advanced bit of maths was related to index numbers and percentage change.
