Can you overdose on polytar?

My bf currently uses polytar twice a week but usually on the day before he is due to use it again his flakes start to return.. Would it be unhealthy for him to start using it every other day instead? It mentions nothing on the bottle :frown:

A few years back I got a bad bout of flakey scalp and found I was using Polytar a lot - then tried on the advice of a doc Cocois cream (you can get it over the counter but may need to ask the pharmacist) and Nizoral shampoo - this worked a treat on what the polytar only seemed to control for a short period
