i Just recieved my AS results

    Physics B -- 2 marks from A
    Chem B
    Maths B - Maths i panicked C2 and got 90UMS on Stats
    Further maths - D

Im remarking one of my physics papers. Also ill explain further maths, my school doesnt believe its a real alevel so they won't timetable it so its after school for 40 mins every Friday and Wednesday. Would universities take this into account.

Ultimately should i retake the year, if i want to apply to engineering or natural sciences at ucl, imperial, york, kings and the general Russell group universities. Taking into account ive done quite alot of outside the syllabus reading and activities, i.e lectures, exhibitions. My physics teacher has already told me theyre going to predict me an A* and my maths teacher an A. Please advise.

I'm in the same situation mate. As long as you get predicted the entry requirements, I would apply. If not, then it is worth retaking and/or going for a Post A-Level application. This is what I'm doing. I got BBBC and I am waiting to see what they predict me for each subject. May I ask, how did you manage to get your physics teacher to predict you A*?

Basically because 1. I achieved As all year round
    2. She knows how god awful my handwriting is. (It is so so so bad, like a 6 year olds)
    3. Im pretty much engaging in class.

I also come from a pretty bad school in comparison to most

A-Levels have changed so it's not like these grades count for anything. As for maths, just retake the modules which you did really bad in. What predictions do you need for your unis? Because if you already have A*A then I personally really don't see the point in retaking the whole year.
