I received my exam results today as AAA. I had an offer to study medicine at Imperial for A*AA. However, during my exams I was up multiple times a night caring for my grandmother, and was having particular trouble with the pain in my shoulder and the side effects of the pain killers I take for this. I detailed all of this in an email to my head of year , who said that she would contact imperial. Imperial rejected me today, and when I contacted them, they said that they hadn't received an email. When I spoke to HOY about this, she said that she had sent then an email, but deleted it from her sent folder, and deleted the reply imperial sent. She did email them again in front of me, but they said that all they could do was consider me if I retake my exams and reapply.
I find it strange that imperial couldn't find the email that my HOY had sent, and even more strange that she should delete the reply without informing me. My parents are even doubting that she sent the email in the first place. I honestly think, that had they received the email from her, I would have been in with a chance of getting into imperial. Is tthereanything I can do?

While it's not your fault i honestly think there's not much you can do at this point other than find another uni you are willing to go to through clearing or your insurance. You could try to appeal you rejection as you were close and explain your situation but chances of success with a university like imperial are quite low. Best of luck.
