# What do I need to get A* in Edexcel A-Level Mathematics? watch

1. Hi!

I've just gotten an A in AS Level mathematics and I got a total of 252 UMS marks.
C1: 88 UMS
C2: 92 UMS
D1: 72 UMS

What do I need to get A* overall? As in, do I need to retake any modules, or should I do both S1 and M1 and hope I get higher than the 72 UMS I got in D1??

haha thanks mate I mean as in, what percentages/grades do I need to get??
4. You need 80% UMS overall, with an average of 90UMS in C3 and C4
5. You need a minimum of 480 UMS altogether, with a minimum total of 180 UMS in C3 and C4.

I wouldn't resit in your position.
6. In your situation no real need to resit anything if you are going for an A*. This is because you could, say, get 180 UMS (the minimum for A*) from C3 and C4 combined to total 432, then you would just need 48 in your last A2 module to get the second condition, 480+ UMS overall, for an A*.
