I have achieved A*A*A in my A level
But my UKCAT is very bad ( 1780) and my GCSEs are not really great (A*,5A,3B and 2D* - with a B in English).
I will take a gap year and apply for Medicine
But anyone know university that doesn't focus on GCSE and UKCAT?
    Thank you for you help!

University of Leeds look at BMAT, and take the best set of results out of A level or GCSEs

Congrats, those are amazing results! As Bas has said, Leeds would be a good option, because they would score your A2 only. You also have other BMAT unis - BSMS doesn't place that much emphasis on GCSE (shameless plug) you need a B in Maths and English Lit or Language, which you have.

Your GCSE's aren't awful anyway so they shouldn't be a problem as long as you apply to your strengths and do the research with med schools. Some look at GCSE's more, some don't.

Moreso with your excellent A2 grades at A*A*A. Congratulations on that! Due to your achieved grades, some uni's will place very little emphasis on your GCSE's.

Unfortunately, your low UKCAT is letting you down. At that score, I think you'd be hard to get a look in at almost any of the UKCAT uni's.

Check the uni's which accept the BMAT and see if your academics will suit them. If so, it may be worth giving that a try, otherwise, you can always take another gap year and re-attempt the UKCAT!

At this point, you need to sit down with a spreadsheet and a list of all the medical schools and narrow down which ones will suit you with what you've got.
