Hmm I'm expert but if you want to get it checked out find an auction house as they can often value things for you before you put them up. However if there isn't a signature or mark on it it's probably quite worthless... landscapes are ten a penny.
Do you know where it came from at all?

Thanks for your reply.

Yes there is a signature on it but I can't work out what it says. Its blended in with the rest of the painting.

To your other question, I have no idea where it came from. Its been in our house for ages. I think the previous owners of the house may have forgotten to take it with them when they moved out which was like 30 years ago.

By the way, how do I find an auction house? I doubt there's any in my area.

Hi, Im thinking of selling an oil painting. Its been in my house for decades and so I have no idea which artist painted it. How would I go about selling this? Any paint experts have any idea on how much its worth? Its 25 x 35 inches and feels very rough because of the paint used.

Please see attached picture

Thanks

Without a signature or a mark, it won't be worth much, unless an auctioneer has an idea or what have you. Therefore, best bet is a car boot sale!

On the back of the painting it says Viktoria Maltuch, however the signature on the painting is something like Maclus

Maltuch is german for canvas.. so I doubt Viktoria Maltuch is the painter.
"Viktoria Maltuch" is not the name of a woman. "Viktoria" is a brand of artist's supplies, and "Maltuch" is German and means "painting cloth" = canvas.

Do you mean its an acrylic painting?

I have no clue about paintings but like I said before, I can feel the sharp paint on the painting.
It looks like junk.

But as we all know in the art world junk sometimes = $
