Today I received my results and I was 3 marks away from an A. What do you guys think, should I remark my paper or not? My parents are willing to pay for the cost.I heard that your grade can get lower which makes me panic.

Your grade can indeed drop. The new remark system has been introduced to make changes in either direction much less likely, but if you want to do it, get a copy of your paper first and go through it with your teacher to see if there is any point in putting it forward.

    What is the subject?

I am also 3 marks off an A for one subject; unfortunately, I am also 3 marks off a C. Essentially, getting a remark would be flipping a coin if there is any change at all.

Depends on which subject, something like maths is very unlikely to go up, but history or English yes

The best advice I can give you is to check how close you are to the lower grade to check the risk. Then as Carnation said, it might be wise to look over the paper beforehand.
