    Hey

So I recently accepted accommodation with Tramways to study at Chester, and was just looking at the deposit when I noticed my first rent payment is due on the 31st of August.

The problem is I get my first loan on the 26th of September, there's no way anyone in my family could help me pay it off (it's £2,085) and I don't have a student bank account yet to go into an overdraft.

What can I do? Because this is really stressful 😭

You can get a student bank account now? You need to explain the situation to the accommodation people.

a] find the money be it from a bank/card/friend/family
b] explain this to your landlord most should make exceptions for such eventualities.

You won't get an overdraft of £2,000 straight away anyway - you should have checked the payments before signing contracts to ensure you can pay them. Some landlords/accommodation providers will allow you to defer payments until student loans come in, others will not. I lived in 2 different student halls that refused to do this so I had to borrow money off family and then repay them when I got my student loan.

Talk to Tramways and see if you cna come to an arrangement.
Sort out your student bank account and overdraft.

see how much money you can muster up in the form of borrowing money/getting an overdraft then contact them and ask if there is anything you can do

some places will allow you to move in having paid 1-2 months rent instead of 2k and others won't budge
