so yes, you will have to go freshers week without a student loan.

Yep my loan went straight into my account, but not til halfway through my second week there, so I had no loan for Freshers Week, but i'd already put some money aside for my first week anyway so it wasn't too much of a problem.

In his first two weeks at uni (which included freshers week) one of my friends spent a grand going out 13 nights in a row.
