Hello there. I've got two offers. University of Hull and Derby for mechanical engineering. Can you guys please help me choose one! I'm already leaning towards hull because its so damn gorgeous. But I'd want input from every perspective of the university before I make my decision. Thank you!

IHull is a nicer city IMO in terms of culture and things to do. It gets a bad rep but there is so much regeneration going on right now. With the new wind farms being built up, you could also get a job in that industry, which is super cool!
Derby seems to have quite a robust programme though (I can't find the modules on Hull website), and has seen investment from Rolls Royce. It is really tough.
Derby is 47th and Hull is 74th in THE's Student Experience Survey. On average is seems like students like Derby more.

I'm a soon to be third year mech eng student at Derby. The course is quite diverse and most lecturers are competent. There are lots of engineering companies in derby such as Rolls Royce, Toyota and Bombardier. Which, as you can imagine, is very useful.
The city itself is quite nice too. Nothing to boast about but everything you'd need is there. Feel free to PM if you have any questions.
