I have an option to defer my first year or do it part time. I would like to do it part time, but how will my loans/grants be worked out? I skimmed an old thread which said you cannot get a maintenance loan for part time study - is this correct? I am not sure yet of the % I am doing this year, I presume around the 50% mark though.
I only have a matter of days to decide what to do... Anyone else gone down to part time?

    Thanks

That's right. Part-time would be Tuiton Fee Loan only.

Sometimes reduced study can be classed as full-time, which would get you Maintenance as well. It depends on how hours per week it is and how your uni reports it to Student Finance. Check with your uni.

Do you agree with the PM's proposal to cut tuition fees for some courses?
