So to get into the course I applied for I required a certain amount of UCAS points plus UCAS points from the specific subject. I got the first part of this offer but for the second part, I was one grade away.

My application was therefore unsuccessful and I cannot get onto this course at the Uni I wanted to go to. As I've already applied for this course I cannot go through clearing to get onto it, however I was offered the same course alongside another subject, which has the same entry requirements. How can this work that I can't get onto the course I want to but I'm offered the same course but only if I take another subject alongside it and is there nothing at all I can do about it?
