    Hi all,

I have accepted a place to do my masters degree; and arranged and paid the fees for a room in a house close to the campus I thought I was due to study at.

Today, I have recieved notification that the course will be at a totally different campus.

I have spoken to the landlord, who has said that as I have signed the agreement, they will not allow me to cancel this. The only way they can do it is if I know someone who would be able to take my place. As I am moving to do the course, I know no one, and I am currently around £700 into this.

I am not able to move in until something like 14th September (landlord set this date), so is there any way that I can get out of this, as I have not moved into the property?

I cant afford to look for another property until this money is returned.

    Thanks,
    Jacob

No there isn't, once you've signed the contract its binding. I would get advertising on the facebook page for your university quickly.

once you've agreed to the contract then you're stuck in it unless you find a replacement, it doesn't matter whether you're moved in or not
