I will be doing Further Maths next year so this year my school had me do 6 maths modules in one year. I got 100 UMS in C1 and C2, 92 UMS in C3 and C4, 87 UMS in M1 and 89 UMS in S1 but it says overall that's a grade A?

Does this mean that's my final grade in A level mathematics and if so should I resit something to get that A*, or because I'm only in Year 12 that I can't get that A* until the end of Year 13?

    Thanks in advance

Contact your examinations officer, that seems to me that it should be an A*...

So you got 92 UMS in each of C3 and C4? Erm yeah you should have an a*...the time you sat it shouldn't matter. Maybe ask your school about it..

You can't get A* in your AS exams. The A* is awarded at A2 only if you get an A overall AND an average of 90% in C3 and C4 for maths and FP3 and something else for further maths.
That last part about Further Maths is incorrect. You need 270 UMS across 3 A2 modules, I.e. M2, M3 and S2 or FP2, D2 and FP3 so an average of 90 UMS.

Thanks everyone for your replies. Since M1 is an AS module then I've done 4 AS modules and 2 A2 modules which could be why I haven't got an A*. I'm assuming that when I do another A2 module next year I should get an A* if I get above 86 UMS in that third one?

In normal maths C3/4 is the only thing that matters for an A*
