I've figured out that the fashion degrees I really want to do mostly require you to have done an art and design or fashion foundation. I got a place on a fashion foundation course at West London College back in December, however last week I was informed that the course has been cancelled. All I was offered was a list of suggestions for other courses. I've tried all of them, and discovered that all the good ones are full because it is such late notice, and the rest are not good courses or are of a lower level.
I just got my A level results back, which were A,C,C, but when it comes to foundation years, and indeed fashion degrees, A Levels are essentially useless.
On top of this, because I got a place on a course in December without needing a portfolio, I haven't been developing one over the year like I might have done. This means that even if I decided to just do a fashion degree straight from A Level, I'm not going to be able to get on any courses within clearing.
Any ideas? Recommendations for good Fashion Foundations within London?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Hey there,

I would recommend you try and put something together for the time you have and see if you can get into a foundation course or a degree at your current stage. It's worth a try for clearing. Do you have any art stuff that you can put in a portfolio? They could become quite interesting in terms of the designs you come up with. What about showing some of your skills by making small pieces or even a website portfolio? In terms of A levels, is there anything work you can use to as a portfolio?

Do you want to check out Ravensbourne?
We do a fashion foundation that you might be interested in and you can apply for the degree if you wish. Click Here for our website.

    Hope this helps. Goodluck!
