Hi I have been trying to work out the financial implications when my triplets (probably)join my eldest at uni in 2017. I understand that our parental contribution for their maintenance is split between them and a £1130 disregard per extra student comes off our parental joint earnings . The disregard make little difference as our joint income is £70,000 but the split contribution would be vital as otherwise our expected contribution could be around 4 times the present £3279 for our eldest . I read that the maximum household contribution cannot exceed £6210 (in "Assessing Financial Entitlement" (2016/2017)but have been given different advice regarding this from my daughters present uni . Can you confirm if this is correct ?
    Thanks for your help
Do you agree with the proposed ban on plastic straws and cotton buds?
