I just got my AS results and have received AAAA in Maths, Biology, Chemistry and History. I will be dropping Biology and hopefully (as long as my school lets me) will be taking up an AS in Further Maths. I know this isn't as good as an A Level in Further Maths but I'm still not fully sure that I want to study maths at uni so I think this will be a good indicator on whether I'm good enough and have the passion for mathematics. I haven't done many extra things to demonstrate my liking towards maths and I'm wondering if anyone had any tips of things I could do to make my personal statement better and make me a better mathematician to improve my chances in getting into a good uni. So far all I have is that next year I will help some struggling year 11s to pass their maths GCSE but that's all. I'd appreciate any advice.

its going to be pretty hard but not impossible to get into oxford or other amazing uni's for maths without fmath, try doing the furthermathsprogramme its really good for students who want to do fmath, but you are going to have to do it independently. Congrats for getting 4 A's! you mentioned 'extra things to demonstrate my liking towards maths' how about considering maths challenge run by UKMT? It's a great opportunity to represent your school as well as to express that you're a bright mathematician.
