Welll.. I got AABB at AS in Maths, Physics, Chem and English lit. Then dropped English and picked up Further Maths AS and A2 and got A*AAB. Applied for a few places with A*AA/A*A*A entry reqs but only got accepted by 2, and have finished my second year at Bath for maths and am on my placement year. So kind of what you're looking for.

Rejected from Cambridge (was silly to even apply given AS grades but oh well)
    Rejected from UCL
Rejected from Durham but offered a Computer Science place - turned down.
    Bath - firm
    Surrey - insurance
