Hello, I recently got my confirmation from Soas that they accepted me and after applying for accommodation through the provided sanctuary students site I did some research and realised I had messed up my application by putting Paul Robeson as my first choice when apparently it's post grads only (which I clearly am not) then I found out about the infestation that occurred earlier this year and the bad conditions of both Dinwiddy and Paul Robeson and I am completely put off. As I am from a single parent family with a way below average income I can't afford something too expensive hence I've made a max budget of 7,000.00 in my mind. I am fine with having to commute to and from my accommodation to SOAS but I honestly don't think I want to go to either of those places now and need reassuring from the actual students.

    So my questions are:
    1. Are the conditions still poor or do you think Dinwiddy is fine?

    2. If you know of accommodation (combined with other unis) which somewhat aligns with my budget then can you please tell me?

    3. If renting is the way forward where should I start and do you know of good places with reasonable pricing?

Thank you so much to anyone who replies. I am pretty upset about this accommodation situation so any advice I am very grateful for.
