    Hello there,

I have just received my AS results but unfortunately my grades are pretty shocking. I took Biology, Chemistry, Maths and English.I am forced to drop chemistry as I got a grade U. I need Chemistry for medicine so I'm thinking of resitting but I know that the entry requirements for medicine exclude retakes. Are there any other routes into medicine? My teachers have told that it is impossible for me to go into medicine but I cannot give up yet. If anyone has any ideas, can you please help.

    Thank you.

Sadly, a U in chemistry will not allow you to go into Medicine. You could consider retaking (but not all Med Schools accept retakes) or try GEM (but this is even more competitive).

It's not physically impossible but you would really need to ask yourself why you got a 'U' in chemistry. Studying in medical school is not easy.

What did you get in the other subjects?

Retake Chemistry, do a "lesser" degree then get into postgrad Medicine
